- yes - but all we need is a library, not all the extra stuff that is mentioned above. what part of #10 is actually necessary consideratioon for our city library? We need librarians and books, etc., not partks, coffee, play areas, fireplaces. Its a waste of money and your time of considerint it! The definition of a library is a place in which books, manuscripts, musical scores or other literary or artistic materials are kept for use but not for sale. An institution for the custody or administration of such a collection.

- We do not need a new building. It is one of the few beautiful buildings in Ferndale. I am very satisfied with the current library. The grounds and parking lot need attention. The library is important because it is an integral part of a modern society. It does not need to meet needs that can be met elsewhere (internet cafes, etc.), but it does have the role of providing information and help with seeking information. One of the strengths of our library is the positive and respectful attitude of the staff there. They are competent!

Bravo!
- Very important!
- I love our library, but it is too small often I have to order books as there is not enough space to hold any more. Parking is also a problem. I am not handicapped, but poor knees make climbing the stairs difficult, and there are only a few spaces in the upper lot -- often full!

- YES! We need the information it would afford us.
- I think the current facility is adequate.
- Definitely important. A library is a MUST for children and adults alike, especially in these hectic times! Ferndale needs one! [where would this be built? teens area - really necessary? children's outdoor play area - maintainance/supervision? fireplace a luxury not needed. Does Ferndale really need this expense of hiring someone to maintain these (play area, rooftop garden, etc.)
- Longer hours open
- Yes. Has the old drug store building been considered?
- I think it is important for the many children who do not have computers for their school work
